This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for www.www.jacobsladdercharlotte.org.

Should you email us or send us your mailing information we will add this information to our contact database. Unless you ask us not to, you will receive a copy of our Jacob’s Ladder Job Center, Inc. newsletter WORKS, any upcoming event information that we feel may interest you and you will become a part of our twice-annual letter campaign mailings.

We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. Your donation and contact information is protected behind a firewall on the secure web-based program eTapestry.

We will not sell or rent this information to anyone. We will not share your information with a third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill a specific request.

Your Access to and Control Over Information

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline. If you are interested in making a donation online, you may read JustGive’s security/privacy policy at http://www.justgive.org/html/about/privacy.html. The financial information you submit to JustGive.org is encrypted and protected. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page.

While JustGive uses encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, Jacob’s Ladder also protects your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, recording a donation or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
