Anthony "Tony" Perez
Tony is the Senior Vice President, Portfolio Director for Headquarters Region, within Corporate Workplace at Bank of America. He currently responsible for day-to-day management of approximately 7MM SF portfolio in downtown Charlotte, integrating all functional operations (facilities, management, project management and transaction management) to achieve Workplace goals. He manages the creation and execution of the $167.0MM operating budget and ownership of a $60.4MM capital plan. Tony started his banking career in 1995 as part of the Bank’s Management Associate Training Program. In July of 1996 he was asked to relocate to Tampa, Florida, and lead the conversion of two predecessor banks, Chase Federal and Intercontinental Bank. He then returned to Charlotte in May of 1997 to server as a Project Director for the Corporate Real Estate Headquarters Team. From February 1999 to August 2000 Tony lead the interior signage conversion of all Bank of America facilities nationwide as a result of the NationsBank and Bank of America merger. He then went on to assume the position of an Asset Manager for the Headquarters Team until October of 2003 when he joined the Quality and Productivity Team as a Quality Engineer, and received his Six Sigma Green Belt.
A recent chair of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce's Diversity Business Council, he is a graduate of Davidson College and a 2007 Charlotte Business Journal’s 40 under 40 honoree. He was recognized for his accomplishments by being elected to the Chamber’s Wall of Fame in 2005 and was named their 2007 Diversity Champion. Tony received the Bank of America Spirit Award of Excellence for producing results as a leader and recognized him for being placed in the top 1% of all associates in the corporation. In September of 2006, he was named 2006 Diversity in Business Awards Honoree, and recognized as a catalyst for change. He is a graduate of Leadership Charlotte (Class XXV), and received the Alumni Service Award from Davidson College for rendering a high degree of service to the institution. He lives with his wife of 13 years, Felicia, and 11-year-old daughter, Nina, in the historic Wesley Heights neighborhood in Charlotte, NC.
Tony plans to serve as a coach and mentor to Jacob's Ladder clients and help the agency meet our development goals. He says, "Jacob's Ladder is a wonderful organization and I feel privileged to be given an opportunity to serve on its board. I hope I can assist in furthering its mission and helping as many of our Charlotte citizens as possible." |
